Memphis Tennessee is a vibrant and exciting city (bigger and more multi-cultural than Nashville) and is the city that gave us the Blues, Rock'n'Roll as well as a whole varierty of specialtyy BBQ foods. Dr Martin Luthur King Jnr. was assassinated here in 1968 and there many monuments dedicated to his memory.
A visit to Memphis is not complete without a visit to Graceland. The tour was yet another slick tourist tour and a well oragnised attraction. The tour encompasses the house, gardens, studios, private jets and car collection. Was Elvis in?........ Maureen didn't see him, but you are able to join his Facebook and Twitter accounts to find out the latest news!
Here is a picture of the meditation garden where Elvis is buried along with his Brother,Mother, Father and Grandmother.
So many iconic places to visit here!..... one other place we had to visit was the Sun Recording Studios where so many famous musicians have recorded their music. This image portrays one of their most famous recordings....a "jamming session featuring some of their most famous signings. The picture it titled 'The Million Dollar Quartet'.
